Surrounded by the stately Sierra Nevada mountians, Harveys Lake Tahoe is situated on Lake Tahoe's picturesque south shore - just two blocks from Lake tahoe, about 1/2 block from the Village of Heavenly, and a chip shot away from Edgewood Tahoe Golf Course.

Getting There

• Airport Shuttle - about $43 roundtrip - arrangements made directly with South Tahoe Express
  ( Contact: http://www.southtahoeexpress.com or 866-89-TAHOE ) or rental cars are the most common ways to get from the airport to the hotel.

Driving Directions

• Upon exiting the airport, stay in the left lane. After the first stop light, continue straight ahead under the overpass and turn left at the next stop light onto the Highway 395 South Freeway towards Carson City. Continue on the 395 South Freeway to Exit 57B - Carson City/South Lake Tahoe. As you take this exit, the 395 Freeway will become Highway 395. Continue on this Highway 395 all of the way thru Carson City until you come to the south end of town. Take a right turn on Highway 50 towards Lake Tahoe. Continue on Highway 50 until you see the Hotel on the right.

• Harveys Resort & Casino features 740 soundproofed guestrooms (over 70% non-smoking) housed in two high-rise buildings (Lake Tower and Mountain Tower).
• Harveys Resort & Casino is holding a limited block of guestrooms for course attendees at $89/per night in Lake Tower or $79/per night in Mountain Tower. (Lake Tower rooms are approximately 525 square feet - Mountain Tower rooms are approximately 370 square feet) Group rate guaranteed until 8/9/08 but Hotel will accept reservations after the specified cut-off date of 8/9/08 on a space available basis at the group rate.
• All room rates are based on single or double occupancy. There is an additional $20 surcharge per guest, per room, per night for each additional person over 2 regardless of age. Individuals will be responsible for all hotel room tax, sales tax, and incidental charges in effect at the time of check in (currently sales tax at 6-3/4%; hotel room tax at 10%).
• Room reservations must be made by individual attendees by calling the hotel's Central Reservations at 1-800-455-4770. Individuals must identify themselves with the Group Code: Harveys Lake Tahoe, S09RIAC to receive the special group rate.
• Credit card deposit for first night's room and tax is required to guarantee individual reservations. Individual credit cards will be charged first night's room and tax at time of reservation. Individuals will be required to present a credit card or cash deposit upon check-in for credit identification purposes.
• There is an additional charge for high speed Internet Access at $10.95 per day.
• Check-In/Check-Out Policy
Check-in time is 4:00 p.m. and check-out time is noon. Any departures after this time are subject to a 1/2 day charge.
• Guestroom Cancellation Policy
Any individual cancellation or early departure within 72 hours from the date of arrival will be billed first night's room and tax.
• Parking
Complimentary valet parking and self-parking for guests.

Multiple-Attendance Discounts:

The following discount schedule applies for course attendance by multiple persons from one corporate entity or institution when registering at the same time:

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations received on or before five (5) business days prior to the course are fully refundable. Cancellations received after five (5) business days prior to the course are not refundable and are subject to the entire registration fee, which can be applied towards a future offering of any RIAC "Open" training course. Substitute attendees can be made at any time by contacting the RIAC PRIOR TO THE CLOSE OF REGISTRATIONS. Please note that if you do not cancel and do not attend, you are still responsible for the registration fee. The RIAC reserves the right to cancel training courses at any time up to two (2) weeks prior to the start date. In the event that the RIAC cancels, all registration fees will be refunded in full. The RIAC is not responsible for charges, other than registration fees paid, incurred by registrants from cancellation of any of the courses.

Training Schedule

Classes begin at 8:30AM, and conclude at 4:30PM. The schedule includes a continental breakfast starting at 8:00AM each day, morning and afternoon breaks with light refreshments, and a break for lunch (attendees are on their own for lunch).
