A Comprehensive Reliability Assessment Tool for Electronic Systems

The Reliability Analysis Center (RAC) has developed a new methodology and associated engineering software tool, PRISMŽ, to assess the reliability of electronic systems. The methodology includes new component-level reliability prediction models (RACRates) as well as a process for assessing the reliability of systems due to non-component variables which are major contributors to electronic system reliability.

Comparing Reliability Predictions to Field Data for Plastic Parts in Military, Airborne Environment

This paper examines two popular prediction methods and compares the results to field data collected on Plastic Encapsulated Microcircuits (PEMs) operating in military, airborne environments.

Raytheon Assessment of PRISMŽ As A Field Failure Prediction Tool

This evaluation compares the PRISMŽ predicted failure rate to the actual observed field failure rate for three military electronics units.
