PRISM Year of Manufacture
The year of manufacture is used in the PRISM as a factor in reliability growth calculations. This growth is presented as a function of part type and the year in which the item was manufactured (PRISM reliability predictions can be performed through calendar year 2005. The base year upon which all of the RACRates models are normalized is 1993). When performing your PRISM reliability assessment, the year that the component was manufactured (e.g., date code found on device) should be used.
