Is there a standard reliability on computer cables? Specifically, IEEE-1394 (FireWire) cables. I can't seem to find anything on any type of computer cable, firewire, USB, ethernet, or other wise.
Most of the failures I have encountered (aerospace) with cables or harnesses have been Maintenance Induced failures, with the occassional failures due to poor manufacturing, bad crimps, to much strain on the harness causing the wire to pull form the pin.
Any thoughts??
